Looking for a healthy family dinner? How about pizza? That’s right, pizza! As a health conscious mom, I am always thinking of ways to cure my family’s cravings without sacrificing their health. Getting advice from other moms is always helpful. My dear friend is a nutritional expert, so I go to her for tips all the time! April Branton, is a fitness and health expert with a degree in Natural Health. April’s family first passion is The Los Angeles Rams, and their second passion is pizza! This recipe for homemade organic pizza will satisfy your family’s craving without compromising their good health.
I am a huge fan of the Organicville products, and each time I try something new I fall in love. When I found out Organicville developed a pizza sauce, I was thrilled.
Being a mother of three, I must say that “pizza” is an all-time favorite in our house. It’s an American favorite too; about 94 percent of Americans eat pizza regularly. Nearly everyone, young and old, flocks to the classic Italian dish because it is accessible and easy to make at home! Being a health-conscious mother, I don’t like the fast food versions of pizza. They are convenient, but there sure isn’t a lot of nutritional value in those gooey slices.
Each slice stacks up to at least 272 calories, 4.4 grams of Saturated fat, 34 Grams of carbs, and approx 551 mg of sodium. And, honestly, who stops at just one slice? But even worse, many fast food pizzas are loaded with chemicals, pesticides, artificial flavorings and colorings, and tons of MSG!
MSG is secretly added to enhance the flavor of your food without the average customer realizing it. MSG is generally hidden under other names such as Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, which is the main component of MSG. Over consumption of this ingredient can cause a range of symptoms beginning with but not limited to:
Headache, sweating, fluttering heartbeat, chest pain, nausea
Not only is Organicville pizza easy to make, but it is the tastiest organic, gluten-free pizza sauce I have ever tried. You can actually read the label and understand what the ingredients are and how healthy the sauce really is. This pizza sauce is phenomenal, with a sweet, mildly tangy taste that is sure to please your family and friends. This pizza sauce tastes the way pizza sauce should taste. Your kids will like it, and you will love knowing that the ones you love are eating pure! Try Organicville’s Pizza Sauce, you won’t be disappointed!
To get your kids more involved in the dinner, you can always make your own dough from scratch and get the kids involved! The boys and I love to make our own pizza on Sundays. Try out this beautiful Pizza Prep Station to keep things organized.
